Denis Jeffrey
Denis Jeffrey is a full professor at the Faculty of Education at Laval University in Quebec City, Canada, and Director of the Centre de recherche interuniversitaire sur la formation et la profession enseignante (CRIFPE). He conducts research in the field of the sociology and professional ethics of education. In addition he is interested in youth culture and new forms of citizen ritualisation.
He has published Enseignants, Enseignantes. Toutes, tous à risque de poursuites criminelles (2020), Rites et Ritualisations (2018), Les solidarités humanistes (2018), Rites et identités (2017), Pour une éducation à la paix dans un monde violent (2017), Éthique et insubordination en enseignement (2016), Jeunes et djihadisme (2016), Penser l'adolescence.Approche socio-anthropologique (2016) and several other books and articles.
During his stay in Strasbourg he will give a lecture at the international colloquium Bodies, Identity(ies) and Societies and a presentation at the seminar Issues in sociology.
