Sylviane Muller awarded the Grand Prix Léon Velluz

On 22 November 2016 the French Academie des Sciences has awarded the Grand Prix Léon Velluz 2016 to Professor Sylviane Muller, who holds the USIAS Chair of Therapeutic Immunology and is a founding member of the USIAS Board. This prize is awarded, regardless of age, position or nationality, to the author of a discovery in organic chemistry or biochemistry relevant to human therapeutics.
Ever since it was created in 1666, the Academie des Sciences has been resolutely committed to the advancement of science and has advised government authorities in this field. The Académie des Sciences is independent and is one of the five academies at the Institut de France.
