New volume in series on Nietzsche by Fellow Anne Merker

The second of twelve volumes in the series Nietzsche : Écrits philologiques, Volume X : Rhétorique was released by Les Belles Lettres in late 2020. The series is edited by Anne Merker and Paolo D'Iorio.

A more complete description of the volume, a comprehensive translation of Nietzsche’s lecture notes on rhetoric given during his time as professor of classical philology at the University of Basel in 1872, can be found on the publisher’s website. An article in the prestigious French newspaper Le Monde also accompanied the release.

The series is an outcome of a USIAS Fellowship, which enabled Anne Merker to start this herculean task in 2014. Volume VIII on Plato was published earlier, and the remaining volumes are forthcoming.
