French physicist Anne L'Huillier, professor of atomic physics at Lund University in Sweden, was awarded the 2023 Nobel prize for her theoretical and experimental work with attosecond pulses of light. In this USIAS Distinguished Lecture, she will present the emerging field of attosecond physics, which her research has helped to establish in a crucial way.
