Joint USIAS-FRIAS Fellowships 2017

In the third call of the joint fellowship programme of the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS) and the University of Strasbourg Institute for Advanced Study (USIAS), three joint research projects have been selected for funding. Starting in the autumn of 2017, three groups from different disciplines (life sciences, chemistry and financial mathematics) will conduct their research as joint fellows of FRIAS and USIAS. Each project comprises researchers from both universities and will be funded for a period of two years, combining specific expertise from Freiburg and Strasbourg in novel ways.
The following three projects have been selected in a competitive selection process including international peer review:
- MapRNA: Mapping RNA - RNA pairings in vivo in bacteria and their importance in fast acclimation processes
