Exhibition - ASPIRINE
From September 8, 2025 until August 19, 2025
Faculté de Pharmacie, Strasbourg (FR)
The University of Strasbourg's Faculty of Pharmacy is hosting a travelling exhibition on aspirin, designed by the French Société d’Histoire de la Pharmacie (Society for the History of Pharmacy). This event highlights an iconic medicine from the perspectives of history, science and society that explores the story of aspirin: from willow bark to contemporary pharmaceutical research.
Strasbourg is also the birthplace of Charles Frédéric Gerhardt, the first chemist to synthesise acetylsalicylic acid - the chemical name for aspirin.
USIAS is one of the partners of this event, which will take place from 8 to 19 September 2025 during the Faculty's opening hours in Illkirch, in room C003 (accessible to people with reduced mobility).
