Dressing for work in the scientific world

Wearing gloves for a surgical operation or for a procedure in a biology laboratory is now ‘normal’. There was a time when there was no such thing as a piece of professional clothing, let alone specific equipment.

This presentation will look at the invention of a changing room, its history up to the present day of personal protective equipment (PPE), and its adoption. It will take into account what users have to say about the need for protection and functional comfort.

This is a special seminar organised by the Strasbourg Biomedicine Research Centre (CRBS).
