9th USIAS Seminar - Innovation and Creativity Management: Where We’ve Been and Where We’re Going

In today's international academic environment, it is becoming more and more crucial to understand methods of management and governance of innovation and research. Those methods must i) not limit researchers’ creativity ii) take into account financial constraints and see them as a source of opportunity, iii) take into account other international research institutions and consider them as partners and competitors.

Professor Burger-Helmchen currently works on the multidisciplinary USIAS research project C-4: Coopetition and Core Creativity in Chemistry; the goal is to study and improve the management and governance of research. During the seminar, he will give an overview of current and past practices as well as an introduction to future perspectives.
