Cholinergic control of attention: translational research approaches

On Thursday 22 May at 11:00, Prof. Sarter will give a special seminar about "Cholinergic control of attention: translational research approaches". Martin Sarter is the Charles M. Butter Collegiate Professor of Psychology and Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Michigan. He is one of the leaders in the area of cholinergic research. Specifically, he demonstrated through choline-sensitive micro-electrodes that changes in concentration of acetylcholine were made much faster than assumed, thus calling into question the notion of "volume transmission" of this neurotransmitter.
