USIAS Fellows Excursion 2016

Saturday 28 May the first USIAS Fellows excursion has taken place. The excursion was organised at the occasion of two Round Tables around 1914-1918 war experiences, organized by USIAS Fellows Nicolas Beaupré and Alexandre Kostka. The excursion visited the remnants of the First World War in the Vosges Mountains, an important front line in the war, now a century ago. Under the guidance of historical experts specialised in this period, the traces left by "la Grande Guerre" on the landscape were explored and explained.
