USIAS public lecture - From tooth to guts: mechanisms of epithelial renewal and regeneration - Ophir Klein, UCSF

September 8, 2017
From 11:00 until 12:00

By Ophir Klein, University of California, San Francisco

An important next step for regenerative medicine is to understand the mechanisms by which mammals naturally use stem cells to regenerate and heal tissues. Professor Klein will present data from the recent work of his lab focusing on stem cells in teeth and the gastrointestinal tract and will conclude with perspectives on how the power of stem cells can be harnessed.
