USIAS Fellows Excursion 2016
USIAS Fellows excursion 2016 - The landscape of La Grande Guerre
On Saturday 28 May 2016, the first USIAS Fellows excursion took place, visiting the remnants of the First World War in the Vosges Mountains. This was an important front line in the war, now a century ago. Under the guidance of historical experts specialised in this period, Florian Hensel and USIAS Fellow Nicolas Beaupré, the traces left by "la Grande Guerre" on the landscape were explored and explained. Please find more information in the programme.
